^{Of course, the standard Rping rules apply in this forum, so please follow them and also the other rules that will be listed here. This list of rules may be updated once in a while, so checking this thread once in a while would be a good idea.
ADMIN: feel free to add anything if I forgot something.

NEW RULES!!
Character Creation
Now that I have seen that a lot of our members are creating new characters, I have decided to come up with this rule. As of today, January 7, 2008 This rule is ENFORCED!!! (having fun here) Though it is fine that you create many characters, besides keeping them active, at least 1 shoudl be a male character. If you create 2 characters, then at least one should be male, if you make 4, then 2. Something along that scale. I am making this rule due to our lack of male characters.

RPing In third Person
When Rping, make sure to RP in third person. This means that when you post in character, you would post as if you were watching the scene as an outsider. Rather than using “I, you, or us”, you would use, “she, he, them”. The only exceptions to this rule are when a character is speaking or if you are speaking out of Charracter(OoC) which we will get to later.
For example:
I walked into the Great Hall Is incorrect
She walked into the Great Hall. Is Correct.

Spelling & Grammar
We are a literate forum, and expect you all to know proper English. There is a Spell Checker in the replies AND the quick replies. It is next to the "post" button. Please USE IT!

Applying for Cannons
If you are applying for a cannon character, make sure you Know the Character. If you apply for a character that is a cannon, then pleast at least have some prior knowledge of the character's tendencies and personality. For example, if you are applying for Pettigrew, then please don't make him outspoken and a leader, that is not in character, so please, do the admin a favor and apply for a character you know or make an original if looking up information like that is too "time consuming."

No God- Modding
God modding is playing god, or controlling other characters. Say you are posting as Fred, and are Rping with Mary in this scenario.
Fred climbed the tree, and Mary followed. Is God- Modding
You posted that Mary followed you, but when in fact, the person playing Mary may want to walk away. General Idea: don’t control others, only concern yourself with the actions of your own character.

PMing Admin
Try not to PM the admin team, if you apply for a character, don’t PM an admin member saying, “I finished my app, please approve it.” Letting a admin member know you are done with an app in the Cbox is acceptable, but don’t PM the admin on matters such as these, We will get to it eventually. In general, try to keep PMs to admin to a minimum in matters such as these.

Post Lengths
Post lengths should be at least 2 well written paragraphs as a minimum. This makes it easier for others to reply to posts in RP. If you do not abide by this rule then you will be warned then expected to fix the posts and improve.

Inactictivity
I and the admin team will allow about a week of inactivity before the member recieves a warning by the admin team. If however, you do not reply to the activity checks without PMing or informing the admin with a reason of your absence, then you will be notified. So, stay active!}
